Music for Cats and Monkeys

There is a cellist at the National Symphony Orchestra in the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C. who has a musical life of his own: David Teie composes music for animals. To do justice to the respective species, he consults with scientists at the University of Wisconsin. Late in February, he issued his first album specifically for cats, which can be downloaded via Internet. In the past, however, Teie had already spent quite a bit of time learning all there was to learn about the musical predelictions of the Sanguinus Oedipus, or cottontop tamarin, whih due to its unique hairgrowth is also known as the "Liszt Monkey" or "Lisztaffe" in Germany.
